Coronavirus

As you are probably aware, there has been quite a bit of focus on coronavirus – 19 (COVID-19), over the last few weeks, since there was a spike in the outbreak in other countries.  With the CDC issuing a statement today, that focus has intensified.  Governor Polis also issued a live statement today. You may view it at: https://www.colorado.gov/governor/news/updated-information-covid-19
Earlier this week, I received an email from Commissioner Katy Anthes of the Colorado Department of Education with some helpful information related to the 2019 novel coronavirus.  I’ve attached a Fact Sheet developed by the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) that you may find helpful.  Please take a moment to read this document as it provides some really good factual information.
Much of this information is good old common sense regarding communicable illness, but it always helps to be reminded from time to time.  We are bombarded by so much information, it’s easy to forget.
Our office is keeping a daily watch on the information provided to public school districts and the county. Please reach out with any questions or concerns you may have.  Remember to wash your hands and cough or sneeze into your arm. Please keep your student home if they are sick!
Kind regards,
Mrs. Richard
