Following input from stakeholders including a parent committee, the calendar below was presented and approved in the February 11, 2021 board meeting. This will be a change for our Dolores School District family and community. It is important to open communication with all constituents and share the process now unfolding as well as provide opportunity for questions and engagement with the district administration.
Below is an outline of next steps:
- The District Administration is now working on a comprehensive report on employee compensation that will be presented to the school board on March 11, 2021.
- A proposed plan for Fridays will be presented to the school board on March 11, 2021.
- Following the board meeting, a Town Hall will be held for the parents and community members to ask questions, seek clarification and understanding of the new school calendar. The tentative date for this Town Hall is Tuesday, March 16 at 6:00 p.m. The parent calendar committee will be invited to attend as panelist for this Town Hall. The meeting will be held in a virtual manner. More details will be given in the near future.
- Following the three items above, next steps will be determined in order to meet the needs of all stakeholders.
