COVID-19 Mutual Aid Cortez

In this time of growing concern and critical needs, we want to share with you some important efforts happening to ensure that we can collectively take good care of our communities.

A small coalition of organizations, agencies and community members has come together to develop mutual aid networks to support our communities. On the website listed below, you’ll find a link to a form people can fill out if they need something, a form for people to fill out if they can offer support, and an option to donate money. Funding is being pooled collectively and will be shared as needs arise. We are working to ensure that people who have specific needs are matched with community members who can help meet those needs. People that don’t have internet access or need help filling out the forms can call or text 970.560.0119.

The Good Samaritan Center food pantry and The Sharehouse, both located at 30 N. Beech Street in Cortez, are facilitating emergency food response in conjunction with many food assistance organizations in the wake of COVID-19.

First: we encourage everyone to stay calm, and to reach out to neighbors who need assistance.

Second: visit to sign up for volunteer opportunities, to sign up for food or other assistance, or to make a donation to help us buy food and supplies.

Third: if you have food and/or household supplies that you would like to donate, you can drop them off at The Sharehouse any day between noon-4:00, 30 N. Beech St., Cortez.
