Dear Dolores School District Ski & Snowboard Families
It is with great disappointment that I must pass along the news from Telluride, that the Regional Ski Program has been cancelled for the 2021-22 season. I am forwarding the message sent to area coordinators.
Dear RSP Coordinators,
I’m very sorry to inform you that we’ve determined the RSP program will need to be cancelled for the 21-22 season.
We are projecting a shortage of instructors for this upcoming winter season, and while it was our intent to bring the program back, we’re quickly realizing that the number of participants would need to be so limited that we wouldn’t be able accommodate all of the students.
We understand this is a great opportunity for our regional youth and will do our best to restore the program moving forward.

Telluride Ski Resort
Our Community Ski & Sport Swap, that supports the scholarship program, has also been postponed till the Fall of 2022. I am now working with the District to arrange a PLAN B for the students that have shown interest. We are considering a range of possibilities; from a single day lesson for beginners, to a Ski Bus only for Experienced Skiers/Boarders with their own pass and equipment. We will keep you informed as plans develop.
