My name is Lisa Vaughn and I have been teaching here in Dolores for close to 20 years! I consider this school my second home. I am currently teaching 7th grade English and Language Arts. I love teaching middle school – I find the kids to be challenging, energetic and quite humorous. I grew up in the Seattle-area and loved it. I sometimes miss the rainy days and the smell of the Pacific. I graduated from Eastern Washington University with a degree in Secondary Education, English Literature and History. I have taught various subjects and grade levels (Pre-K thru 12th grade) in Washington, Oregon, and New Mexico; however, the bulk of my teaching comes from right here in Dolores – a place I now call home. I love the Colorado blue skies, sunshine, mountains, lakes and rivers in the area. In my free time I am often on the lake with my family, walking the canyon with my dogs, or reading a good book on my back porch. I am looking forward to another great year here at Dolores Middle School.
