Karen Webster

Karen Webster is a dedicated teacher who strives to help students reach their full potential. Mrs. Webster started as a high school English teacher in Southern Illinois, before moving to Golden, Colorado. While working on her Colorado teaching license, she taught at Barnes Business College. Then she taught on a high-risk gang team at Aurora Central High School before moving to the Dolores area. She taught English, photography, and journalism at a local high school for seven years before taking a teacher position down the street from her home.
She has been teaching in Dolores for 23 years, 21 years as the technology teacher. She has a BA in English with a concentration in journalism, (Southern Illinois University, 1989), and an MA in Educational Technology, from University of Northern Colorado University (2007). She has presented numerous times at the Technology in Education (TIE) and InnEdCO Innovation of Education in Colorado conferences. Mrs. Webster is the National Honor Society sponsor, as
well as the Pinhead Internship representative. Over the years she taught Media Literacy, Computer Graphic Design, Digital Photography, Web Design, Video Production, Programming, Yearbook, and more. She has been married for 38 years, and her son graduated from Dolores in 2004.
