Amanda Higgins
Secondary Counselor
My name is Amanda Higgins and I am the Secondary School Counselor. I have been in education for over 20 years, but I have been a School Counselor going on 14 years. I graduated from Fort Lewis College with my teaching degree and Adams State University with my Master degree in School Counseling. I love working with students and always learn as much from them as I hope they are learning from me. I have 3 children that are very involved in sports, 4-H, and FFA. We own cows, so when we are not working or chasing children, we are working cows. I am a 4-H leader and I love animals, especially my dogs, chickens, horses, goats, and pigs. I like watching movies, but I love to read and often stay up way too late catching up on the current story I am engrossed in. I love going to the lake and paddle boarding, but Fall is my favorite season. I am excited about this school year; teaching lessons in the classroom, meeting with individual students, and leading groups.
