Ed Miller
HS Social Studies
I am excited to be a teacher at Dolores High School! I love what I teach. Before retiring, I taught for 20 years and 10 years in school administration. I have also been a debate coach, debate sponsor, and debate judge. Allow me to introduce myself: I retired as assistant principal and dean of curriculum at Hal Peterson Middle School in Kerrville, Texas in 2013. I received my bachelor’s degree from Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, Texas in 1981 and completed a social studies composite teaching certificate from the University of North Texas in 1986. I also completed graduate course work in history at both the University of Texas at San Antonio and at Texas State University, San Marcos, Texas. I received my Master’s degree in School Administration from Trinity University, San Antonio, Texas in 2005. I have worked on several award-winning History
Channel programs. My book, New Orleans and the Texas Revolution, was
published in 2004 by Texas A&M University Press. It was the recipient of
the Summerfield G. Roberts award in 2005.
I am looking forward to a great school year!
