Hi I would like to introduce myself or reintroduce myself for the people who already know me. My name is Amanda Alcon or some of you might know me as Amanda Montoya. I am native to Dolores, born and raised and I have raised my 3 beautiful daughters here as well. I'm a proud single parent to two grown daughters Ms Alyssa, Ms Aubree and little Ava who will be in 4th grade this year. I graduated from Dolores High School in 2001, then from San Juan College for cosmetology in 2002. I've worked locally and even found myself buying my own salon at age 22. Even working at my salon I have always found myself babysitting or being a nanny while starting my own family. After 20+ years doing hair and raising my own daughters I found myself missing working with small children and luckily an opportunity to work at Teddy Bear Preschool and to go back to school came my way. I'm so excited to be in a room with Ms Elaine again, who better to learn from than the person who taught my 3 daughters. I am truly looking forward to this up and coming year with new and old little kiddos and for this new journey in life.
