I was born in Illinois, raised in Indiana, and schooled at the University of Cincinnati, Indiana University, and San Juan College in Farmington, NM, in subjects ranging from Graphic Design, Geology, Renewable Energy, Rock Music history, and American Literature (among others). A family road trip to Los Angeles when I was 12 years old sparked my love of the American Southwest (a rafting trip in Durango was one stop we made on that trip). So, I've been moving around and exploring the Southwest for the past 20 years and landed in Montezuma County six years ago. I have an amazing, intelligent, and imaginative daughter in the second grade here at Dolores Elementary, and I really love the town of Dolores and recreating in the forest nearby.
