Good Morning Parents and Guardians –

As you are well aware, just before school started today the snow began falling and accumulating very quickly. The school district administration is monitoring the situation carefully and we are in the process of making decisions on when and if to close school. There are many things to consider when closing school early, including road conditions, CDOT’s ability to get roads cleared for bus transport (visibility for plow trucks is very bad right now and they have temporarily been pulled from their routes), and whether or not there is adult supervision at home for young students to go home to. We are trying to balance these things in our decision making process.
The decision on when buses will run has not been made yet, however parents who would like to come pick up their students early are more than welcome to do so. If you decide to come pick up your students please call the office when you get here and we will send them out to you.
Thank you the Dolores School District
