Teddy Bear Preschool Parent (November 6, 2020)

We want to be completely transparent with our families during these uncertain times. I want you to feel safe allowing your students to enter these doors. Please know that we always closely follow the guidance of the Center for Disease Control and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.

That being said, I want to inform you that we have asked two staff members and 2 students to not attend school due to their proximity to a person that tested positive for COVID-19. At no time has there been a person in the building that has tested positive. None of these 4 people were symptomatic and staff members always wear masks when with others. Thanks to adherence to protocol, contact was extremely limited to our staff and students.

You will receive a phone call from Valiena today if your student’s room was affected. Alternative staffing has been arranged for the classroom whose teachers are in quarantine. These staff will be returning on November 17th.

While we cannot eliminate the risk of being around others we can and have tried to minimize any exposure that happens. If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to reach out to me or our school nurse, Denese Brisbin, R.N. at  970-882-4688
